Bromley Bellorama / Houston's Fiddle Fest was ace. We arrvied fairly promptly for 1pm, to find only Autofed there to greet us - Houston & co. were to arrive a few hours late.
This meant we had very little time to soundcheck so the levels weren't great and Titch's guitar was way too quiet. We eventually got onstage at 7:30 to an audience of around 500 or so, with our strongest set to date. Out of Reach again started some crazy pits which remained throughout, and Mini Cheddars is becoming one of my favourite songs to play. The poor sound come through on Afjs though, and Titch's guitar was barely audible, however, we compensated well and finished the song strongly. The end to the set worked wonderfully; we played Ballad of Dinos for the frist time, which the crowd loved, and Augo from From Grace helped Masty out with the vocals for This Twisted Dream, which worked a treat. We then went into Awake with a new interlude from the end of Twisted Dream, which built up excellently and meant we finished the set on a high. Overall, the atmosphere for this gig was electric and the crowd were great - a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who turned up to support us.
There were 5 other bands playing, all of which were highly talented and put on an all-round brilliant performance.
Debt - Debt were very nu-metal and opened the night well. Despite not having a huge crowd, due to the tight schedule and the number of bands playing, they ripped through an energetic set with some impressive drumming.
Autofed - They were great as always, with the new songs sounding better than ever. I finally got around to getting their EP too, which is sounding marvellous. They also got a lot more people to the stage, showing their impressive fan base.
From Grace - From Grace played a killer set, with the opener "Rise Again" being one of the best performances of the night. All 6 songs were brilliant and they finished with crowd favourite, "Descent".
Mypetme - After listening to RTFM on their official site, great things were expected from Mypetme, and they did not disappoint. They have managed to mix hardcore and emo excellently, producing a dazzling live performance with some great vocals. Check out their site to join their street team or request RTFM on Radio 1.
Malakite - I didn't see much of Malakite, but they definitely got a good reaction. They had a tough act to follow after Mypetme however, but they maintained the crowd's enthusiasm and ended the night on a high.
